Conference on Emerging Design and Analysis Issues in Genomic Studies in Population Sciences Conference Center at Harvard Medical October 11-12, 2007 The Department of Biostatistics of Harvard School of Public Health and the Department of Biostatistics and Computational Biology of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute will host a two-day conference workshop on October 11-12 (Thursday- Friday), 2007, entitled "Emerging Design and Analysis Issues in Genomic Studies in Population Sciences". This conference, supported by a grant from the NCI and NHLBI, seeks to engage statisticians, genomic epidemiologists and computational biologists in discussions of design, data, and analysis issues in the increasing number of genomic studies in the population sciences. The conference will focus on three important areas and aims at in-depth and stimulating discussions of major quantitative issues in these three areas: Genome-wide association studies; Gene-environment interactions; Emerging "omics" techniques in population sciences. Please visit the conference website http://biosun1.harvard.edu/complab/genomics_workshop/ for details and a list of invited speakers and panelists. Due to space limitation, registration proceeds on a first-come and first-served basis. Students and post-doctors, and women and minorities are encouraged to participate.
